Here are some recent pictures of Evan. One is of him playing with his blocks and the other two are of him doing what he does best...climbing.

Awesome builder!

That's my boy!
I think I scared him trying to get his attention
so that's why he looks frightened.

18 Months!

Evan's sign vocabulary is increasing and no he's still not talking. Since he is signing more and communicating, I think that the talking is soon to come. He is just taking his time. Plus, It's hard learning two languages. The signs that he knows and can do are more, all done, bath, eat, daddy, dog, and please. He's also started covering his face to play peek-a-boo.

I am showing him new signs for different things and I always say what I'm showing him so he can hear it. He loves Blue's Clues, books and especially trucks. Truck puzzles, books, toys...he loves them. Today we went to Lowe's and when we first walked in, he saw the riding lawn mowers. In his world, he probably thought they were tractors. He was so excited! He kept checking out the big tires and walking from one to another. He's so cute! He has turned into a different baby just in the last couple of weeks. Something has definitely clicked in his brain and now he's a little sponge. He's constantly learning and exploring. Our house is more of mess it seems. He's into everything! He always has been but lately he is leaving a messy trail behind anywhere he has been. He has gotten on the dining room table a couple times before but it has been awhile until Friday. I went into the bathroom to take my vitamins and when I came out, he was on the table. He is definitely our little monkey!
We are enjoying watching him grow into a little person. He is fun, silly and a little crazy and he keeps us on our toes. I will keep everyone posted on any new things he learns or does. I can't believe that six months have passed since his first birthday and that we're six months away from him turning two. Where does the time go?! Way too fast!!!!
