Christmas was pretty mellow around here. Eric and I stayed local so we could spend X-mas in our new house. We didn't exchange any gifts because we had just bought the gas logs for the fireplace so that was our gift to each other. Eric had Monday and Tuesday off so we had a nice relaxing time together. Of course Eric did some things around here. He can't sit still for very long so he finds little projects around the house to do. New Year's was basically the spent the same way except we went out and bought a bookcase for the office. We have been in need for one and now we finally have it. We found it at an unfinished wood place and Eric starting staining it. It will be nice to get all of Eric's books unpacked and put them away.
Today I took down all the decorations. It was definitely more fun putting them up. Now the house needs a good cleaning but that's NOT happening today. I'm exhausted!
We had some snow flurries last night and it was really cold this morning. No snow on the ground but it was still exciting to see some flurries. I hope we get more this winter.
Happy New Year!

We shopped on New Year's too! We went out and bought a 26-inch HDTV for our bedroom. Last New Year's we bought a nice washer and dryer set to replace the used set we bought when we got married in 1990. If this buying-major-appliances trend keeps up, New Year's may become my most favorite holiday. Happy New Year!
