Here's a picture of my growing belly. Today I am 24 weeks. I also have the picture from before at 18w4d to compare. I'm not huge yet but there is a difference.

Baby Movements
Last night, right before bed, I was hungry and decided to have a light snack so I chose a yogart. I got ready for bed and got comfy while I ate my yogart. As soon as I was done eating, the baby got really active. I called Eric over and as soon as he put his hand on my belly he felt a kick. It was crazy how active the baby was. Later, he put his hand on my belly again and he was able to feel several pokes. I told him that it was the funniest thing to see it poke. We watched and sure enough he was able to see it. He said that was really weird. I'm just glad that he's able to feel more of the movements now. I think Eric was starting to think that the baby didn't like him since he could never feel anything before.
I've been playing lullaby music for the baby when I'm sitting at my computer and I have noticed that the baby calms down during that time. I think it likes the soothing music. Of course, when the music's over, the baby eventually goes back to it's wild movements. I try to put music on often. Maybe I should try something a little more upbeat and see how it reacts. That could be interesting.

Things are Going Well
I have still been busy in the baby's room trying to put more of the circles up. The walls are starting to look nice but as for the room, it still needs some TLC. The baby has been active more lately which is still just bizzarr. It cracks me up everytime I see it poking me. It's like a little alien trying to get out. Pretty freaky! I'm still not very big (thank goodness) and I will have another belly pic soon. My appetite is great and I'm maintaining some control. Everything just sounds so good these days. Even things that I don't normally eat. For example, I can't remember the last time I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and now that just sounds like the best thing ever. Next time I go to the grocery store I'm getting that and I will enjoy every second of it. My main cravings have just been sweets. I normally crave salty snacks but anything sweet these days are super yummy. I just don't over indulge. Just a little here and there.
I have also been busy just getting the house ready for family this weekend. Tia, Scott, Joshua, Jason and baby Tiana are coming down to visit. I'm really looking forward to it. I can't wait to see everyone. It's definitley going to be weird having a baby in the house. Maybe I'll get some pointers from Tia on baby care. That should be interesting. We'll see.
My next appointment is Tuesday the 29th. Basic check up. No more U/S for awhile. I'll keep everyone posted on the baby progress and soon I will have an updated belly pic.

Baby's Kicking More
I have been able to feel more and more kicks from the baby. Sometimes, if I'm sitting on the couch, I can watch the baby kicking. It makes me laugh everytime. I poke at it and it normally will poke me back in the same place. It's fun. Eric has finally felt a couple kicks. He says that it's pretty weird but neat too.
I still haven't changed too much from my last picture I took I maybe a little rounder but nothing too significant. I will take another one soon. Other than that, I'm still eating and staying busy.

Baby's Room
I have been working in the baby's room to try and get everything in there organized. We still have office stuff in there from when it was an office. So far all I feel I've done is make a mess. However, I do have the curtains and a few turtle accessories that look absolutely cute. I also decided to add a splash of color to the neutral walls without lifting a paint brush. I found a picture of a nursery that had the same plain walls and they spiced it up a bit by adding circles. I thought this was a great idea so I decided I wanted to do the same thing. Especially since the turtles on the fabric have circles on their shell. My mom got the idea to use fun foam that I cut out and hung with poster putty. So far I have one long wall finished along with a smaller wall and they're staying up quite nicely. I can't wait to get the rest of the room ready. I still have some things to do but when it's done, it's going to look really cute! Fit for a boy or girl!
Don't mind the mess!

Our Bedroom
Aside from trying to get the baby's room ready, I have been busy getting the rest of our house organized and decorated. There are still some things I want to get done with our bedroom so it will be more complete. However, I recently got a new headboard and footboard for the bed and it has made an amazing difference. I still have some wall decorating to do before I can say that room is finished but I'm feeling good about how our bedroom has turned out.
I have also been rearranging, organizing and getting stuff ready for donating. I have been really busy with that kind of stuff while Eric did some work on the deck all weekend. We have a long list of things that need to get done before the baby arrives and it never seems to end. At least we still have time and I don't feel rushed yet.
So, here are some pictures of our bedroom. I'm still in the process of adding some wall decor.

Our Deck
Eric has been working really hard on our deck that he added to the backyard. We have two backdoors that lead outside but one is in our bedroom and we didn't want people going in and out of our room to get to the proch. Plus, we wanted to make it easier to go outside the mud room door and get inside the porch without having to walk down one set of stairs and then to another set of stairs. So, the easiest and hardest solution was to add to the existing porch. It sounds kind of confusing so here is a before picture of the backyard and a few after pictures.
It's not quite finished yet but it will be soon. Last night Eric started putting up the railing. It looks great so far and I will put up more pictures when he is finished. There's also an area under the deck that he made for the dogs so they have a place to go when it rains or when it's cold. I wish I had a picture of that because there is an actual roof under part of the deck so that rain can't leak in. He's done a great job!
