Evan's First Haircut

Evan got his first haircut today and he was not happy about it. I didn't think he would like it but didn't think he was going to have a melt down either! I'm surprised at how well the stylist did since Evan wouldn't sit still and cried the entire time. Here's a short video. Good thing I can edit out a lot of it. He was miserable! I'm not looking forward to the next cut.

Evan Loves the Shower

Evan was afraid of the tub at my parent's house. It was really loud when the water drained and he got freaked out. So, we decided to put him in the shower. He loves it now! He prefers the shower over the bath. This is video I got of him enjoying the shower.

Sitting in the Sand Table

Exit Signs are Fascinating!

There seems to be something new that Evan becomes fascinated with that makes me say "hmmm, that's weird." He has been interested in trucks...all kinds of trucks and mainly anything with wheels. The lawn mower gets him excited and now he has one of his own. He points up to the sky when he hears an airplane and yesterday he saw a helicopter and started waving at it. These to me are typical boy things. So, one of the strange things that gets him tickled is finding Exit signs in stores. If you've ever really noticed them (like I have recently) they are either red or sometimes even green! Weird!? Definitely. The last day we were in Pensacola, I met my friend at her daughter's school for a carnival. We went into the cafeteria to cool off and Evan got all excited. I look over to see where he's looking and notice balloons. He starts running towards them but then takes a quick left and points up to the Exit sign. We found 5 there in the cafeteria that day.

The other day I took him into Books-A-Million to run around the kid section and play with the train table there. Did he do that? Nope. He ran around pointing at Exit signs! The book store is huge so there are several signs in there. He found 7 and even those had a front and back! Crazy!
I'm not saying he's weird, just interesting. So now, any store we go into, he points to Exit signs.
I wish I could get inside his head. What is going on in there?

Playing in the Backyard

One day down in Pensacola, we let Evan play in the sprinkler to see his reaction. He wasn't too thrilled but he did get a little wet. He had more fun pushing his new lawn mower and climbing on his picnic table. I have some video of him in the sprinkler but I haven't figured out how to get off my camera.

I am really behind in my posts! I went to Pensacola for a week right after Easter and completely put the blog on hold. I must get caught up before it's too late! For Easter, the Bunny brought Evan some truck books, bubbles, a couple shirts and of course Reese's Eggs all in a dump truck! He liked it! Later that day I got Evan dressed in khaki shorts and a nice, plaid shirt. Eric got dressed to match Evan so I had to get their picture! They looked so handsome!
My mom came up that day and then the three of us went down to Florida for a visit.
