Happy 2nd Birthday Evan

On Sunday we celebrated Evan's 2nd Birthday. He got lots of different cars and trucks, a tool kit, a cool red and black stroller (because he loves pushing them around) and a nifty hat with a digger on it. Later that afternoon we had some people come over to grill and we got out the pool so the little ones could swim. I think that was best part of the day. He loved it! After some swimming, we had cookie cake. I didn't want a lot of decorations on it and when I went to pick up the cake it wasn't ready. They had to bake a new one! The lady said that she would decorate it with balloons and streamers and I thought that was great. She added a clown! I don't have a fear of clowns but I just don't like them. I was disappointed but she didn't charge me for any of it because we had to wait. Plus, the cake itself was cheaper and bigger because of their mistake. Whatever. I got pictures of the crazy clown and then we got rid of it. It was yummy!
It was a great day! I can't believe he's 2! He is such a big boy!

Weekend with Friends

Last weekend, my friend Jessica, her husband Art and daughter Laura came to visit. We had a really good time with them. The little ones played in the fountain downtown and ran around the park. Evan did most of the running and of course climbing. One night we were down there and there was going to be a movie on the lawn for kids. Chick-Fil-A must have been sponsoring it because there were several people dressed like cows. Evan wasn't too sure about the cows. He didn't cry but you could tell he was uncomfortable being around them. We got a few good pics of all of us together.
