Ball
I mentioned before that both dogs love their oversized, squeaky tennis ball. We had a total of three, one for each dog and then a back up ball. Well, Tucker decided that he wanted to destroy two of the balls so he no longer gets to play with them. We recently got another squeaky ball and a huge, hard, indestructible ball for Tucker. It's indestructible if you give it to any other dog besides Tucker. We really thought that it would last for quite awhile but in about 10-15 minutes, it was destroyed. He has been banned from tennis balls for now. Sometimes I think he destroys them because he knows how much Sadie loves the squeaky balls. He's probablly laughing inside the entire time he's eating the ball.

Our Day in Helen
Yesterday we made it to Helen for Oktoberfest. It was a beautiful drive and on the way we stopped at the site where the 1996 Summer Olympics Whitewater Slalom competition was held. In the pictures, the water looks normal but I'm sure it gets pretty wild.
We got to Helen around noon and had lunch and walked around. It is definitely a neat place to visit and I think we may try to go back next year and spend some more time there. Unfortunately, a lot of the places to stay were booked. We'll have to plan better for next year. There were a lot of cute little shops and different places to eat. We went to one place called The Troll Tavern to have a drink. It was a restaurant under a bridge near a creek. Definitely a great name for this place. I just thought that was the neatest thing. We spent a few hours in Helen and then we headed back home. Here are a few pictures we took of our day.

Helen, GA
Eric and I are going to try and get over to Helen, Georgia this month for Oktoberfest. Apparently, this is a huge thing there and lasts all month. We tried to get a hotel and they are all completely booked! We'll have to do better planning next year. I guess we're going to drive over on Saturday and stay the day and then just come home that evening. It should be a lot of fun.
Here in Chattanooga, they have something at Rock City called Rocktoberfest. It's every Saturday and Sunday of this month. I think we may try and check that out too.
We haven't really been doing much around here. Things have kind of slowed down since we moved into the house. Right now the only thing that needs some attention is our office. I think I may paint and then buy a bookshelf and get organized. The closet in here is a disaster! It's similar to a closet that you would see on TV. Someone opens it and piles and piles of junk coming falling out. It definitely needs a clean sweep. Hopefully, it will all be done very, very soon.

Lula Lake
Eric and I and our neighbors went up to Lula Lake yesterday. We have been there before but our neighbors haven't. Yesterday was absolutely beautiful since Fall has definitely arrived. We took the dogs up there so they could swim and walk around enjoying the different smells. On our way up the mountain, we discovered that Sadie gets car sick. That wasn't a pleasant experience and we weren't ready for it at all. I will leave out the details but all I can say is that it was nasty. On the way up and down she got sick. YUCK!!!! Anyway. We got to the lake and the dogs got to enjoy the water for a little bit. The pictures I took aren't great because I was standing on a slippery rock and almost went in myself. I tried to take the pictures as good and quickly as I could. Tucker had already been in and out by the time I got to the water so I only have pictures of Sadie. My friend that went with us did get a few on her camera. We had a great time and the dogs were exausted when we got home. That always makes me happy!

Sadie & Tucker's Favorite Toy
We discovered that Sadie really likes squeaky toys. So far we have found one that she can't destroy. It's an oversized tennis ball with a squeak inside. She absolutely loves it. Unfortunately for her, Tucker likes anything that she thinks is fun. He was constantly taking it from her and the funny thing is, he hates squeaky toys. So, we had to go buy more tennis balls so they could both be happy. If we try to give them regular tennis balls, they're no good. They know the difference.
They take these toys with them everywhere and Sadie is always losing hers under the couch. It's funny to see her try to get under there to get the ball. If they both have a ball and Sadie drops hers, Tucker runs over, leaves his and steals hers. It's crazy! I am constantly finding Tucker with both of them and then I have to take one away and give it to Sadie. He's quite stingy when it comes to these toys. I'm the referee and I have to make sure sure they have their silly toys. As long as they're happy, I'm happy.

Chattanooga News
Eric and I were just watching the News and one of the breaking stories was that a plane crashed on Brainard Rd. That's just 2 miles up the street from where we live! We didn't hear anything unusual. The only thing we did hear was just a lot of sirens. I couldn't believe it! Crazy!
